L'Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo and Conditioner || Review

Today I will be reviewing a new shampoo and conditioner duo that was launched by L’Oreal Paris in India recently. I am talking about the new 6 Oil Nourish range by L’Oreal Paris(available in India). I was very intrigued when I found out that it has 6 different oils: Argan, Olive, Almond, Coconut, Jojoba & Camelina oils. I picked up the shampoo, conditioner and the extraordinary oil and have been using them for a while. In this post I will be sharing my views on the shampoo and conditioner. I have shared my thoughts on the oil in another post. (Click HERE to read my thoughts on the Extraordinary Oil)

I think:

The shampoo and conditioner comes in the classic L’Oreal Paris packaging. The mustard and brown color scheme goes well with the “6 Oil Nourish” concept. The shampoo is opaque and creamy. The formula seems to have what I can only describe as shimmer, but don’t worry it doesn't really have any shimmer. I think, the glistening effect that the formula has, is a nice touch. The cleansing action of the shampoo is quite good. My hair is quiet dry in texture, but the shampoo seems to be able to control that to some extent. The conditioner is thick and creamy. Although moisturizing, it doesn't weigh my hair down.

Well, when I initially started using the shampoo and conditioner, I didn’t like it at all. But after a while I realized the correct way of using these products. To see some noticeable difference in your hair, I will recommend using the conditioner generously. The shampoo on its own is not moisturizing enough to deserve the “6 Oil Nourish” claim. That said, I also didn't like the products on their own. I think they work best when used together and when the conditioner is used generously.

To sum up, I think, this duo is something you can try if you are thinking to take a break from your current shampoo and conditioner. But I think it fell short of the claims it makes or may be the claims raised my expectations too much.

  • Contains six oils known for their moisturizing quality
  • Conditioner is thick but not heavy
  • Shampoo cleans well but is not drying
  • Works best when used together.
