Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink || Review and Swatches

Hi Everyone!!

Today I will be reviewing a blush for you. Milani Baked blushes are really popular in the internet beauty community so I had to check it out for my self to see if they are really worth the hype. My CVS was out of the color Luminoso, so I picked up the color Dolce Pink (color number 01) instead which is a pretty shimmery pink. Read my blog post on my Milani Haul by clicking HERE in which I share the other items I picked up from the brand along with this one.

Milani says:

A luxurious powder blush that features a mélange infusion of colors baked on Italian terracotta tiles. Easy to use, sensorial in texture, the nuances of color become extraordinarily luminous. Silky smooth application leaves your face looking healthy and radiant all day.

I think:

Dolce Pink by Milani is a beautiful intensely shimmery warm light pink color which would look beautiful on medium to fair skin color. The blush has good pigmentation but since the color is very light you can apply it on your cheeks without being overly cautious. You can wear it sheer just as a highlight or you can build up the color with a couple of swipes. The formula is very creamy and blends beautifully.

In the pan the shimmer seems to be silver but it is actually golden which goes perfectly with the warm tone of the blush. The golden shimmer particles vary in size, some are very fine but some are chunky as you can see in the swatch. But once applied on the cheeks the chunky glitter particles are not very apparent. After using this blush you will not feel the need of a highlighter as it gives a beautiful highlight to the cheeks. If you have mature skin or larger pores, this blush may make them look more evident.

The packaging is very drugstore-ish. It is bulky for the the amount of product it contains. It comes with a mirror and a brush which is housed in the lower level of the packaging which I don't really care for. Packaging can definably be improved.

  • Good pigmentation
  • Can be worn sheer
  • Easy to build up color
  • works as a highlighter too
  • Affordable

  • Shimmer is evident on the skin
  • Not very nice packaging

Final Verdict: 4/5
