Product Review: Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick in 903C, Just Peachy

Hi Everyone!!

Today I am reviewing another lipstick from Wet n Wild. This is a Megalast lipstick in color number 903C Just Peachy, which is a peachy nude color. This is a very highly loved lipstick in the beauty community on Youtube, so I decided to give it a try. I have reviewed another lipstick from this line in the color 907C Mauve Outta Here, here.

What the brand says about the product:

Lips take center stage! This 4-hour, longwearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn't cake, feather, or bleed. Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips.

What I think about the product:

This is a semi-matte peachy nude colored lipstick. It is a very pigmented formula. These lipstick is not very moisturizing. What I love about this product is that it is creamy enough that it glides nicely over the lips, but not too creamy that it bleeds out the lip lines. It transfers only a little bit making it a long lasting lipstick. It does last through snacking but fades a little through eating and drinking. All this makes this lipstick a low maintenance lipstick in my opinion which I really appreciate.

I am personally not a fan of peachy nude colors on me because I have a medium skin tone with warm/neutral undertone. Also I have very dry and pigmented lips which work against peachy nude colors. I don't particularly like matte lipsticks because I have very dry lips and matte lipsticks tend to make the dryness of my lips very apparent. All this combined makes this is an unsuitable lipstick for me! I think people with lighter skin tone can pull this color off beautifully but I don't think that people with medium to dark skin tones will enjoy this product at all.

Further, there are two things I dislike about this product. The first thing is that this lipstick becomes very messy over time. The product starts transferring on to the packaging over repeated use. The second thing is that it does not smell good in the tube. You will not notice the smell until you purposefully smell the lipstick in the tube. But during application and throughout the wear, the smell is not noticeable at all.

I like the packaging of this lipstick, but I am not really in love with it. The packaging is suggestive of a drugstore brand. It does not look high end by any means. The cap is see through which is good as you can see the color of the lipstick without really opening it. I think, packaging is the biggest weakness of Wet n Wild brand. If they improve it, I think probably they can rule the drugstore makeup world. Well that may be an exaggeration, but not completely untrue.

In conclusion, I do recommend this lipstick for people with light skin tones (below M.A.C. NC35 I think) with lightly pigment lips. In my opinion it is not a universal color, which is probably its biggest weakness in my opinion.

Final Verdict: 4/5
